The Kindness Canteen is a unique and impactful program under the Job Skills & Development Program at the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita. It provides meaningful employment opportunities for adults with special needs, while they build essential, real-world job skills in a supportive environment.

The Kindness Canteen is more than just a food truck — we’re a movement of love, inclusion, and flavor. Our mission is to serve delicious, heartwarming meals while providing meaningful employment opportunities to children with special needs. Every meal served isn’t just made with quality ingredients — it’s made with kindness, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.

We believe that everyone deserves a chance to shine. By empowering children who are differently abled to engage with the community through food service, we’re creating moments of connection, understanding, and joy — one plate at a time.
